As part of Mountain World Heritage Interpretive Theatre’s summer series, Parks Canada has announced 2 fun, family-friendly productions in Jasper National Park that won’t hit the wallet.
The first is a free event twice per week on the Jasper Information Center lawn.
As announced by Parks Canada:
In the summer of 2007, be sure to catch Jasper’s Century! It’s a high-energy, family-friendly theatrical hour by Parks Canada’s Mountain WIT. Through songs and scenes, discover the stories of the men and women who shaped the first hundred years of our largest and wildest Mountain National Park. Jasper’s Century plays from June 21 to September 2 at 8pm on Thursdays and Sundays, outdoors on the Jasper Information Centre lawn. If weather is not good, the show will be relocated to the train station lobby. Cost: FREE.
The second plays Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays at the Sawridge Inn for a reasonable price. According to Parks Canada:
Back by popular demand, Water…on the Rocks! is a crowd-pleasing favorite from Mountain WIT. This hilarious journey of the imagination reveals how our most precious resource – water – influences and shapes the Mountain National Parks. From hot springs to glaciers to wetlands, you’ve never seen an interpretive show that’s this much fun! Water…on the Rocks! plays Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from June 18 to September 12 at the Sawridge Inn and Conference Centre, Jasper. Showtime: 8:30pm. Cost: $12.00 adults; senior citizens and children $8. Contact the Sawridge Inn for more details: (780) 852-6590
