Maligne River close up

As the Maligne River carves through the bedrock, waterfalls are formed. Sometimes the trees lining the shores end their days by falling into the rushing water. The fallen timber may then become lodged somewhere along the river, eventually contributing to the formation of dams, sometimes leading to the alternation of the river's path.
