The traveler who took this video was able to walk amongst Jasper National Park’s bighorn sheep. This must have been quite an experience and one not many Jasper National Park visitors get to have. Surprisingly, the sheep do not seem timid at all. For most wildlife, especially bears, the lack of timidness is a bad thing. The bighorn sheep seem to manage though.
The scene looks like Highway 16 heading out from Jasper townsite towards Pocohontas Inn and the park entrance/exit. There is a good chance of seeing bighorn sheep on Highway 16.
These are young bighorn sheep. When bighorn sheep get older and more mature, the horns are thicker and more rounded.
